TIGER CANYON PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Welcome to Tiger Canyon! Home to the only White Bengal Tigers born in the wild who live free roaming in a special conservation ex’situ project in South Africa. Here guests will be treated to not only a luxury lodge, top level service, and an array of African wildlife, but also one of the most stunning landscapes in the entire country for photography. The way the sun hits the land and draws out Golden hour is a photographers dream come true. The rocky canyons, long white grasses, and various colours in the landscape make a diverse feast for the eyes to be captured with some of the most beautiful predators on the planet.
I have had the privilege of visiting Tiger Canyon a few times, and it never ceases to amaze me just how moving the experience is. The guiding is the best I have ever experienced and the images amongst the best I have ever taken. Photographing Cheetah on foot thanks to their commitment to a lengthy habituation process provides a once in a lifetime ethical interaction with wildlife that you won’t find anywhere. The opportunity to see Bengal Tigers hunting, mating, patrolling their territories, or maybe raising young, is a real treat that you do not need to travel to Asia for playing bumper cars with dozens of safari trucks. I know it might not for everyone, but I also knew it was an option I had to have, for this incredible destination deserves to be visited and captured. No spots will be guaranteed since this will be booked upon request and the lodge only has 3 rooms. There is a single occupancy rate of 50% the cost of the room if double occupancy is not established. Prices quoted as required upon request based on availability.
Not included in cost: flight to Bloemfontein and required overnight accommodation, meals between lodge stays, and gratuities at lodge.
